Youths Plan Kampala Peace March in Kampala, Expect Museveni to Join.

By Peter Ssuuna Youths affiliated with Voices of Peace are organizing a march through Kampala to promote peace as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard freedom in Uganda. The group expects to be joined by President Yoweri Museveni, who they described as the "Father of Freedom in Uganda" for his more than 40 years of leadership and promoting peace. Led by chairman Ian Bernard Kikomeko, Voices of Peace has scheduled the march for April 25, 2026. The goal is to mobilize young people nationwide to champion peace and reject violence. Kikomeko said participants will march across the city to spread a message of peace and raise awareness about the consequences of conflict. "The youth are the majority in this country.
